What time does the tour start?
The tour departs from Melbourne early in the morning, around 7.35 AM from our main meeting point of Immigration Museum. The bus will be waiting on the Market St side of the museum to safely board customers. We do offer alternative pickup locations which are prior to our main departure time from the city.

How long is the journey to the Twelve Apostles?
The drive is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours one-way, with several stops along the way to take in the views and enjoy photo opportunities. However our tour itinerary is approximately a 13 hours journey, as we include several stops along the way to maximise the highlights along this famous coastline.
What is a suitable age for this tour?
Child fare prices apply from 0 to 12 years old. Infants aged 0 to 4 may be able to join select sightseeing tours, though some day tours may not be suitable due to the terrain or duration. A child ticket is required for infants, as they are included in the head count. Child safety seats can be requested at the time of booking, subject to availability but are not guaranteed. We are not obligated by regulations to provide child safety seats. Please note our vehicles do not have the storage to accommodate prams or strollers, these must be left at your hotel or accommodation.
How much luggage can I bring on tour?
We ask that guests travelling on day trips bring small day packs and hand luggage only as we have limited storage onboard our vehicles. Suitcases and large backpacks must be put in storage at your hotel or bus station lockers prior to boarding our vehicles.
How many people are on this tour?
We operate this tour with an average of 35 people onboard, our fleet consists mainly of 28-seater or 38-seater Yutong Coaches. These vehicles are designed for safety & comfortable on long journeys (air-conditioned), with large passenger windows for unobstructed views and USB charging ports. It is possible that the trip will be conducted in a larger vehicle on rare occasions, based on demand.
How fit do I need to be for this tour?
A low level of fitness is required to complete the walks on this tour itinerary.
How much walking is involved?
There will be some walking at various stops, including the Twelve Apostles viewing area. The walk is relatively easy and suitable for most fitness levels. If guests have mobility issues we ask that you notify us at the time of booking so we can try to accommodate accordingly.
What happens if it rains, will the tour proceed?
In the event of rain or inclement weather, your travel experience will still go ahead, unless contacted by the provider. This tour would only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions, whereby it’s not safe to travel along the Great Ocean Road.

To see the 12 Apostles, it is recommended to visit the viewing platforms accessible from the Great Ocean Road. Another option for a different perspective is to consider taking a helicopter tour.

What are the 12 Apostles?
The 12 Apostles are a collection of limestone stacks off the Port Campbell National Park shore along the Great Ocean Road. Currently, only eight of the original Apostles are left. They are a significant tourist attraction known for their impressive beauty, particularly during sunrise or sunset.
Can we see koalas and kangaroos on the tour?
While kangaroos and Australian koalas can be found in the bushland along the Great Ocean Road, it is essential to note that sightings cannot be guaranteed as they are wild animals.
Where does the Great Ocean Road start and end?
It officially starts in Torquay and ends in Allansford near Warrnambool.
Do I need to book tours in advance?
During peak times (summer and holidays), it’s highly recommended to book tours in advance due to high demand.
Are there places to eat along the way?
Yes, the tour will stop in Apollo Bay for lunch which offers cafes, bakeries, pubs, and restaurants with local seafood and produce.
Is it allowed to bring outside food and drinks on the tour?
Participants are permitted to bring food and snacks on tour. There will also be plenty of opportunities along the way where we stop and can support the local businesses by purchasing beverages or meals there. We do recommend brining a refillable water bottle on tour.
What should I bring?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes, bringing a camera, sunscreen, and a light jacket (weather can vary). Don’t forget your sense of adventure!
Are there bathroom breaks?
Yes, regular stops are made throughout the day with access to restrooms.
Do I need to print my ticket?
We work on a paperless boarding system so it’s not required to print your ticket as we love to save paper. Please keep a copy of your confirmation email/ticket on your phone to make sure you have all the correct details and need to check your pickup location, time, or call us.
How will I know which bus/driver I will have?
We may be running multiple buses so our drivers will find somewhere to park, get off and approach you to check if you’re on their manifest. Please listen out if they’re announcing the name of the tour or your name. Also keep your mobile phone handy as they will attempt to also call you from there. Your driver may have delays from earlier pickups. For privacy reasons, we do not provide the phone number of the tour guide. We can provide you with the licence plate number should you wish to look out for this (like you would looking for your Uber!) Do I require travel insurance for this tour?
It is highly recommended that all passengers have personal travel insurance, given we’re exploring remote parts of Australia some regions have limited access to health professionals in the event of sickness or injury. This can be provided by an accredited local travel agent or from your preferred insurance company.
Is tipping the tour guide expected?
Tipping is not mandatory in Australia but is always appreciated if you feel your guide delivered an exceptional experience.
Can I be dropped off at a different location after the tour?
We typically return all guests to their original pickup point. Alternative drop-off requests may be accommodated with prior arrangement, but cannot be guaranteed.
What happens if I’m late or miss the pick-up?
If you’re not at the designated pick-up location at the scheduled time, the tour may proceed without you. We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early and keeping your phone on for any updates. Late arrivals are considered no-shows and may not be eligible for a refund.
Cancellation?
Our tours offer free cancellation up to 24 hours beforehand, must be submitted in writing or through your travel agent.
