Weather (packing guide by season)
Margaret River enjoys a Mediterranean climate — with warm, dry summers and cool, wet winters. Here’s a
guide to help you pack appropriately depending on when you’re travelling with us.
Summer (December – February)
● Daytime temperatures typically sit around 28–32 °C, with occasional hotter days. Evenings are mild,
around 15–17 °C.
● What to pack: Light, breathable clothing, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and swimwear. A long-sleeve
shirt for sun protection or breezy evenings can also be handy.
Autumn (March – May)
● Autumn is mild and pleasant, with highs between 19–23 °C and cooler evenings.
● What to pack: Layers such as t-shirts, long sleeves, and a light jacket. Occasional showers are
possible, so a light waterproof layer is a good idea.
Winter (June – August)
● Expect cool days around 16–18 °C and chilly nights as low as 10–12 °C. Rain is more frequent, and
breezy conditions are common near the coast.
● What to pack: Warm layers, a good waterproof jacket, and possibly a beanie or scarf. It can get
windy during outdoor stops, especially near the lighthouse and beaches.
Spring (September – November)
● Spring temperatures range from 17–22 °C, with fresh mornings and the occasional shower or breeze.
● What to pack: Layered clothing, a windproof or waterproof jacket, and comfortable shoes. It’s still a
great time for beach walks and forest drives, but prepare for varied conditions.
Important information
● Mandatory Details: Passenger details are required at the time of booking, including date of birth,
food allergies, title or gender for rooming configuration, and a contact phone number.
● Dietary Requirements: While we endeavour to cater to most dietary needs, passengers must inform
their booking agent of any specific dietary requirements or food allergies when booking.
● Medical Conditions: The tour operator must be notified of any known medical conditions at the time
of booking. This is an easy level of fitness.
● Fitness Level: Travellers can expect some light physical activities. Travellers should be mobile enough
to walk unaided.
● Age Restrictions: Children aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all
times. The tour is not suitable for infants or children aged 11 and under due to the nature of the tour.
● Fare Type Options:
○ Private Double/Twin Room (MR3-S): For Adults and Children staying in a double or twin room
with ensuite and must be purchased by Qty2 people staying together.
○ Private Single Room (MR3-P): Restricted to Adults only (18+ years old and over) with ensuite.
● Mobility Considerations: This tour is not suitable for mobility-impaired travellers, including those using
wheelchairs, walking aids or mobility scooters.
● Baggage Limitations: To ensure comfort and safety, each traveller may bring one small to medium
suitcase (max. 30cm x 45cm x 70cm) and one day bag (up to 5 kg). While weight isn’t a major issue,
space is limited, and larger or extra bags may not fit in the vehicle. Most Perth hotels offer secure
storage for any excess luggage during your tour.
● Itinerary Variations: Itineraries may change due to seasonal weather conditions, and occasionally
sites in the parks may close for cultural or safety reasons or restricted swimming access. We prioritise
safety and plan accordingly to ensure the best experience for our guests.
