Who We Are

References to “GLT”, “we”, “us” or “our” apply to Get Lost Travel Pty Ltd and its affiliated brands, including:
Autopia Tours, Via Travel Australia, Wildlife Tours Australia, Walking Country, Wayoutback Australian Safaris, Australian Bus Charters & Tailormade Touring, Boutique Touring Company, and Geelong & Bellarine Tours. Accredited Bus Number: AC003612.

Our Contract

All bookings are made with Get Lost Travel Pty Ltd (ABN 94 143 929 962). By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Your booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of your booking confirmation and/or invoice. Your booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of your booking confirmation and/or invoice. These Terms & Conditions are valid from 1 August 2025 until 31 March 2027, though dates and itineraries remain subject to change at any time.

Before You Travel

Before You Book

Please ensure you:

  • Understand the style, itinerary and physical demands of your chosen tour.
  • Familiarise yourself with these Terms & Conditions and tour details.
  • Disclose any medical conditions, dietary requirements or special needs.

We are not responsible for passengers who fail to review this information prior to travel.

Traveller Responsibilities
  • Travellers are required to comply with all relevant government regulations (Federal, State and Territory).
  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. In exceptional cases (e.g. serious medical issues, visa denials, or regulatory changes), requests may be considered with supporting documentation. Approval is not guaranteed.
  • To ensure the safety of all passengers, if you are feeling unwell during your tour, you must notify your guide immediately so that appropriate precautions can be taken.
  • If you choose to leave a tour early or join after it has commenced, no refund will be provided and any additional costs incurred due to late arrival or early departure are the responsibility of the traveller.
Traveller Information

To confirm your booking, you must provide:

  • Full name and contact details.
  • Email address and dietary restrictions (if applicable).
  • Nationality, country of origin or Australian postcode.
  • Pre-existing medical conditions that may affect your travel.
  • For Comfort Style Tours including domestic flight, passport details (or government-issued photo ID for Australian citizens) are required. Failure to provide this may result in missed flights and additional costs.

Special Requirements

Please advise us at the time of booking or no later than 7 days before departure of any:

  • Medical conditions.
  • Dietary requirements / food allergies. 
  • Mobility or accessibility needs.

We will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee all requests, especially in remote regions. We recommend bringing your own snacks for special dietary needs.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend all travellers obtain comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking, including cover for:

  • Medical emergencies and repatriation (recommended a min. AUD $300,000 or USD $200,000).
  • Personal accident, illness, loss of property and liability.
  • Tour cancellation, flight delays and force majeure-related disruption.

Travel insurance is mandatory for all Comfort Style Tours. Proof of cover will be requested before departure. If you do not provide adequate cover, you may be refused travel and cancellation fees will apply. 

If relying on credit card insurance, please bring the policy number, insurer’s name, and emergency contact details (not just your bank name).

Payment Terms

Day Trips
  • Direct consumer bookings: Full payment is required at time of booking.
  • Agent bookings – Prepaid: Full payment is required at time of booking.
  • Agent bookings – Invoice account: Payment terms as per agreement.
Short Breaks & Extended Tours – Original / Adventure Style
  • Direct consumer bookings: Full payment is required at time of booking.
  • Agent bookings – Prepaid: Full payment is required at time of booking, unless otherwise specified.
  • Agent bookings – Invoice account: Payment terms as per contractual agreement.
Short Breaks & Extended Tours – Comfort Style
  • Direct consumer bookings: A 5% deposit is required at time of booking; balance due 51 days prior to departure. Full payment can also be made at booking.
  • Agent bookings – Prepaid: A 5% deposit is required at time of booking; balance due 51 days prior to departure. Full payment can also be made at booking.
  • Agent bookings – Invoice account: Final payment due 51 days prior, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellations & Refunds

Traveller Cancellations
Day Trips
  • Cancellation within 24 hours / no-show: 100% cancellation fee applies.
  • Cancellation with 24 hours or more notice: Full refund.
  • Winery Tours cancellations within 48 hours: 100% cancellation fee.
Short Break / Extended Tours – Original / Adventure Style
  • Cancellations within 14 days / no-show: 100% cancellation fee applies.
  • Cancellation 15+ days prior to departure: Full refund.
Short Break / Extended Tours – Comfort Style
  • Cancellation 0–30 days / no-show: 100% cancellation fee applies.
  • Cancellation within 31–50 days prior: 50% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellation 51+ days prior to departure: Full refund.
Flexible Options
  • Unlimited free date changes (subject to availability) before cancellation fees apply.
  • Travel credit voucher valid for 3 years – non-cash and transferable to other tours.
Operator Cancellations
Standard Cancellation

We may cancel a tour:

  • Up to 2 days before – Day Trips.
  • 14 days before – Original / Adventure Style tours.
  • 51 days before – Comfort Style tours.

If a cancellation occurs, you will be offered:

  • Full refund, or
  • Rebooking to another date, or
  • Credit voucher valid for 3 years.
Force Majeure Cancellation

If cancellation is due to extraordinary events (natural disasters, pandemics, bushfires), we will offer:

  • A 100% credit voucher; or
  • A refund minus unrecoverable costs.

We are not liable for associated expenses such as visa fees, non-refundable flights, or travel insurance excess. We reserve the right to change an itinerary after departure due to local circumstances or a Force Majeure Event. In such emergency circumstances, the additional cost of any necessary itinerary alterations will be covered by you.

Alcohol, Drug & Passenger Conduct Policy

Alcohol is not permitted onboard our vehicles. Passengers under the influence of drugs or alcohol may be refused travel or removed from the tour. We reserve the right to deny boarding or remove any passenger for:

  • Aggressive or threatening behaviour.
  • Refusal to follow safety instructions.
  • Intoxication or drug use.
  • Disrupting other passengers.

The legal drinking age in Australia is 18 years; photo ID may be required at certain venues. No refunds will be given for passengers removed due to misconduct, and any additional costs incurred are the passenger’s responsibility.

Child Policy (Age Restrictions)
Day Trips
Ages 0–12 Suitable – E.g. Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island, Lake Mountain, Hot Springs, Crocodile Cruise.
  • Infants (0–4) may travel on some tours under child fare prices.
  • Child seats can be requested subject to availability but are not guaranteed. We do not have a legal obligation to provide child seats.
Restricted (6–12) – E.g. Grampians, Blue Mountains, Pinnacles, Kakadu, Litchfield, Katherine.
  • Not suitable for children 5 years old and younger.
Winery Tours – 18+ OnlyE.g. Yarra Valley, Hunter Valley.
  • Proof of age required.
  • Not suitable for children 17 years old and younger.
Short Break / Extended Tours – Original / Adventure Style
  • VIC/SA/WA: 6–17 year olds allowed in a private room, accompanied by an adult or legal guardian.
  • NT: 8–17 year olds allowed with swag or safari tent.
  • Not suitable for children under 6–8 depending on region.
Short Break / Extended Tours – Comfort Style
  • Australia-wide: 12 year olds allowed in a private room, accompanied by an adult or legal guardian.
  • Not suitable for children 11 years old and younger.

Travellers aged 75+ must provide a medical certificate or signed waiver form within 30 days of travel.

Weather Policy

Weather conditions in Australia can be unpredictable and vary significantly by region and season. Our tours operate in most weather conditions, including rain, wind, heat, and cooler temperatures. Tours will only be cancelled in the event of extreme weather where safety is at risk, such as bushfires, severe storms, lightning, flooding, or extreme heat.

We do not offer refunds or compensation for:

  • Weather conditions that do not pose a safety risk (e.g. rain, cloud, fog, wind, cold, heat).
  • Itinerary changes due to weather or environmental conditions beyond our control.
  • Personal discomfort or dissatisfaction related to weather.

If a tour is cancelled due to extreme weather or government advisories, we will offer the choice of:

  • Rescheduling to another available date.
  • A credit voucher valid for 3 years.
  • A refund, less any unrecoverable costs.

We recommend checking average temperatures and forecasts before travel and packing accordingly. You are responsible for ensuring you are adequately prepared for all weather conditions.

Luggage Policy
  • Day Trips: Small backpack only (max 5–7 kg).
  • Extended Tours (Round Trip): 1 x 15 kg travel bag + 1 x 5 kg day bag.
  • Extended Tours (One-Way): 1 x 23 kg travel bag + 1 x 5 kg day bag.
  • Items like surfboards, bicycles, prams or wheelchairs are not accepted.
  • Mobility aids cannot be accommodated without prior arrangement.
Pick-up & Drop-off Policy
  • Complimentary city pick-up/drop-off at select locations.
  • Be ready at least 10 minutes before scheduled departure.
  • Late arrivals may miss departure and will not be refunded.

Third-Party Bookings

We are not responsible for information or services provided by third-party agents or platforms. Their terms may differ, and enquiries or changes must be directed to them.

Final Agreement
