(Melbourne to Adelaide & Kangaroo Island Tour) 

Day 1.

Departing Melbourne. Your journey along one of the world’s most scenic drives, the Great Ocean Road. Passes through the surfing town of Torquay. A short stop at Kennett River to spot wild Koalas, Kookaburras and majestic Parrots. Picnic lunch at the seaside town of Apollo Bay, before getting back on the road to travel to the iconic natural formations of the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge. Overnight in Halls Gap, the heart of the Grampians National Park. (L)

Day 2.

Wake up to a complimentary breakfast with musical backdrop of Cockatoos, Galahs and Kangaroos doing their thing. Take a guided walk through the beautiful landscape of the Grampians National Park, learn about the Aboriginal Culture and history of this area. Hike the natural wonders of Reeds Lookout, the Jaws of Death and MacKenzie Falls, the largest waterfall in Victoria. Leaving the Grampians behind the Kangaroo Island Tours journey continues on to Adelaide for an overnight stay in the city centre.

Day 3.

We meet at the Sealink Bus Terminal – 85 Franklin St (inside Adelaide Central Bus Station), at 06:15am, connecting to a ferry transfer across to Kangaroo Island. Stop at the Eucalyptus Oil Distillery and visit Rob’s Shearing & Sheep Dogs for a truly Aussie outback experience. Witness the magic of a wild breeding colony of Australian Sea-Lions at Seal Bay and roll down the white sand dunes of Little Sahara. Overnight stay and BBQ dinner at Vivonne Bay Lodge. (L,D)

Day 4.

Today we get up close with Koalas, Kangaroos and Emus at a Wildlife Sanctuary. Wander around Kangaroo Island Tours signature landmarks the impressive granite boulders known as the Remarkable Rocks. Here you can watch New Zealand Fur Seals frolic in the ocean or admire the stalactites dangling from the Admirals Arch. Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch at the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre, journey to the secluded beach of Stokes Bay and take a walk up Ironstone Hill to look for wallabies. Late afternoon return to Adelaide via the ferry crossing. (B,L)
