10 Day Adelaide to Perth Tours Overland 

Welcome aboard our Adelaide to Perth Tours Overland – Explore the Flinders Ranges and be amazed by the rich redness of the rocks. Walk through Alligator Gorge and camp out under the stars at Warren Gorge. You may even spot some yellow-footed rock wallabies along the way. Stay on a working farm at Coodlie Park and enjoy a night with a difference in a swag hut. This eco-friendly campsite is set among native bush. Keep an eye out for wildlife here and enjoy the million-star view of an evening. Interact with wildlife like nowhere else by taking up the sea lion and dolphin snorkel at Baird Bay. Sea lions are the most interactive and playful creatures making for an experience you will never forget! The dolphins are sure to surprise you also! Enjoy one of Australia’s most iconic road trips, the Nullarbor crossing. Gaze out into the seemingly endless desert from the comfort of your minibus. Be sure to watch for wildlife along the way. A great photo opportunity awaits at the Bunda Cliffs, where Australia meets the Southern Ocean in dramatic cliff faces.
Marvel at the pristine beauty of Cape Le Grand National Park. You’ll find endless white sand beaches with the clearest blue water imaginable. Even the kangaroos come down to enjoy these beaches! Another great photo opportunity awaits you at the top of Frenchman’s peak, where you can overlook the islands of the Recherche. Explore the National Heritage Listed Stirling Ranges with walks and an epic climb to the top of an old fire lookout tree for views across the range. The Diamond Tree is not for the faint hearted with a winding staircase to the top made of steel pegs. Taste Margaret Rivers finest with stops to enjoy fudge, cheese, beers and of course wines all made locally.Discover indigenous culture first hand with a guided cultural experience with Koomal Dreaming Cultural Experiences at Ngilgi Cave. Learn about their culture through storytelling, fire making and a live didgeridoo performance inside the cave!

Day 1 - Flinders Ranges National Park

Beginning our overland journey from Adelaide to Perth Tours, we head first into the wine region of Clare for a quick coffee stop before heading into Alligator Gorge for a walk to explore the rugged beauty and colours of the ranges. We then continue further into the Flinders Ranges for wallaby spotting and camping under the stars at Warren Gorge. Around 4 hours travel time. (L,D) No showers.

Day 2 - The Eyre Peninsula and Coodlie Park Farm

 Watch for the Big Galah as we pass through Kimba and then we’ll discover the amazing Eyre Peninsula. Get the adrenaline going by sand boarding some of the massive sand dunes at Lake Newland and explore the Talia Caves before stopping overnight at the working farm of Coodlie Park. Here you can enjoy the brilliant night sky while sleeping in a unique swag hut! Around 4.5 hours travel time. (B,L,D) Showers available

Day 3 - Baird Bay

 Not far from our accommodation is the snorkeler’s paradise of Baird Bay. Enjoy an optional tour with Baird Bay EcoTours to snorkel with playful sea lions and inquisitive dolphins on their 3 hour cruise, at only $160 each. If snorkelling isn’t your thing, have a free morning to relax and explore at your own pace. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach as a group before making our way towards the secluded Fowlers Bay campsite for the evening. Around 5 hours travelled. (B,L,D) Showers available

Day 4 - The Great Australian Bight

 Take in the beauty of the vast countryside as we journey past the Great Australian Bight. Keep your cameras handy for a photo opportunity at the famous wombat, emu and kangaroo road sign along the Nullarbor. Be amazed by the rugged splendour of the Bunda Cliffs before crossing into Western Australia in the afternoon and another evening camping under the stars. Around 7 hours travelled. Day 5 - Nullarbor and Cape Le Grand National Park 

 Enjoy the quirky towns of Balladonia and Norseman along the Nullarbor. Balladonia is well known for the Skylab space station which crashed nearby and the roadhouse has a small museum dedicated to this event. After enjoying lunch, we make our way to the seaside town of Esperance for some supplies before heading out to our Lucky Bay campsite in the beautiful Cape Le Grand National park for the night. Day 6 - Cape Le Grand National Park

Marvel at the pristine coastline of Cape Le Grand National Park. Clear blue waters, brilliant white sands and large granite boulders are the norm here. Don’t be surprised to see kangaroos enjoying the beach at Lucky Bay with you in the morning! Relax on the beach, have a swim or enjoy some walks, it’s up to you today. We’ll take you over to Frenchman’s Peak for an adventurous climb to the top where you’ll be rewarded for your effort with views over the park and islands of the Recherche Archipelago. We’ll spend tonight at Lucky Bay campsite again. Around 10 minutes travel time. (B,L,D) Showers available.

Day 7 - Cape Le Grand National Park and Stirling Ranges

Take your last look at the beautiful Lucky Bay before making our way over to the National Heritage Listed Stirling Ranges, where we have a private campsite for the night. Along the way, we’ll stretch our legs by enjoying a hike through the Stirling Ranges, which gets its name from the indigenous term for ‘mist rolling around the mountains’, for some magnificent views and possibly some wildflowers! Day 8 - Stirling Ranges and Coastal Views

Travel along some spectacular coastline today! Enjoy views of clear blue waters, turquoise pools, boulders, cliffs and forests as we travel towards Quinninup for another night of swag camping, this time in a caravan park. Along the way, we’ll make a stop at the Valley of the Giants where you’ll be awestruck by the huge karri trees on the Ancient Empire walk. Around 5 hours travelled. (B,L,D) Showers available

Day 9 - Margaret River Region

Start the day with some adventure at the Diamond tree, where you can climb the spiral staircase on the tree for views over the ranges. This is definitely not for the faint hearted! Then enjoy the local Margaret River fare with your new friends by sampling the best Margaret River has to offer. We’ll make stops through the region to try fudge, cheese, beers and of course the wines! There’ll be some free time to explore on your own also. Around 2 hours travelled. (B,L,D) Showers available

Day 10 - Margaret River Region to Perth

Enjoy the last of the bush sounds this morning before we start making our way into Perth, the world’s most isolated capital city! Enjoy more coastal views along the way and a stop at Ngilgi cave for an indigenous cultural experience hosted by locals. Make sure you swap details with your fellow travellers as we make the final journey into Perth. Although there are no formal activities booked for the evening, groups usually organise a get together for a final meal and drinks together and share Adelaide to Perth Tours experiences.   • Please bring your own sleeping bag on Adelaide to Perth Tours, as they are not available for purchase or hire.
  • This tour and vehicle is not suitable for children or infants. Minimum age is 18 years old.
  • A moderate level of fitness is required to complete the walks, you will need to be prepared for walk between 3-9 km on some days.
  • This tour covers long distances and there is often little or no phone signal, a satellite phone is carried your guide encase of emergencies.
  • We recommend pre-booking any optional activities in advance to avoid disappointment.
  • We also recommend all guests have travel insurance organised prior to departure.


  • Accommodation each night is basic, with most nights camping in an Aussie swag or dome tents. Facilities can be quite basic most nights with showers not available every evening. You may not be able to charge devices most evenings.
  • Please have Perth accommodation arranged prior to departure, as accommodation there can get busy and there will be limited opportunity to book along the way.

Food & Dietary Requirements

  • Your guide will prepare most of the meals whilst on tour, but you will have the opportunity to assist with daily activities such as setting up camp, helping prepare meals and clearing dishes. 
  • Passengers with special meal requirements or food allergies MUST ensure they notify their travel agents or us at the time of booking.
  • Food is purchased prior to the commencement of this tour and special requirements cannot be catered for after departing.

Reconfirming Your Booking

  • Please reconfirm at least 48-hours prior to departure and notify us of any dietary requirements, medical conditions.
  • This will give you the opportunity to reconfirm your pickup location and departure time too.
  • Providing a travelling contact phone number prior to departure, makes it easier for us to find you during morning pickups

Arriving into Perth

  • Please avoid arranging flights out of Perth until the following day after the tour finishes, in case of any delays due to traffic.
  • Guests can’t be dropped off at Perth airport.
